This ensures clarity, depth, and consistency throughout the program. The training is guided by Yogacharya Lalit, whose journey began in the Himalayas and unfolded through years of ashram life and study under Swami Veda Bharti.

Don't wait, enrol today!!
Enrolling with Himalaya Yoga Valley was one of the best decisions I ever made! The course is so well thought-out and tutors are knowledgeable, encouraging and inspirational. The curriculum covers so much but is broken down into manageable lessons, which makes the online course so accessible to a busy, working mum, like myself...

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training?
A 200-hour teacher training is a foundational program that deepens your practice, understanding, and ability to teach yoga safely and confidently. It covers physical practice, philosophy, methodology, anatomy, and teaching skills.
What will I learn during the training?
You’ll study asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, alignment and safety, teaching methodology, sequencing, and practicum teaching, balancing both practice and theory.

Our training also helps you identify your personal integrity point as a teacher through yoga ethics, while investing in your growth as an entrepreneur through immersive yoga entrepreneurship modules.

The 200 Hour Training follows a three-fold path:
1. Personal practice
2. Professional proficiency
3. Empowered pathways to building a sustainable career

Using progressive learning methodology, we take you from offering your first cue to confidently teaching a full class with clarity and competence.
How long does the 200-hour training take?
Our 200-hour training is delivered over 28 days in total. You can choose between our On-Demand format, which is fully self-paced, or our Hybrid format, which includes 11 days of in-person immersion combined with self-paced online theory modules.
What are the prerequisites?
There are no strict physical prerequisites, but we recommend a consistent yoga practice before joining. This training is immersive and intensive, so a foundational familiarity with yoga practice will help you integrate the material more confidently.

We value commitment, openness to learning, and a willingness to grow over physical perfection.
How do you decide who attends the training?
We curate our student groups intentionally. Admission is based on your application, experience, and readiness for an immersive learning environment.

We value diversity, sincerity, and a genuine commitment to both personal and professional development.
Will I be able to teach yoga after completing this training?
Yes. Completing our 200-hour training prepares you to teach safely in studios, wellness centres, retreats, and online. You will be equipped to teach a general spectrum class using props, modifications, and structured cueing methodology.

We encourage graduates to begin teaching immediately upon successful completion. In fact, we hire many of our own graduates into our Online Platform and physical studios, reflecting the trust we place in our training outcomes.

Yoga teachers remain lifelong students - including our own faculty, and we encourage that same integrity in you.
What will happen if I can't pass the course?
Our training is rigorous and requires you to demonstrate safe and proficient teaching. If you need additional support, we provide extra coaching, feedback, and time to help you reach the required standard.

Our goal is not to eliminate students, but to ensure you graduate ready and competent.
Is the training physically demanding?
Yes. This is not a retreat; it is immersive, experiential learning.

The training includes dynamic physical practice, adapted to individual bodies and needs. Progress is always relative to your starting point. We foster a non-competitive environment rooted in encouragement and intelligent guidance.
What styles of yoga are covered in the curriculum?
Our training includes Hatha, Vinyasa, alignment-based work, pranayama, and experiential philosophy.

While Lalit is an Authorised Ashtanga Teacher, the training is inclusive and adaptive. We believe the practice should be adapted to the student, not the student to the practice.

It is a yoga practice, not a perfect yoga practice.
Are online options available, and how do they work?
Our Online TTC is offered in both fully online and hybrid formats, combining live classes, recorded modules, and meaningful community interaction.

This training represents our body of work and lineage, distilled and delivered through accessible technology with strong emphasis on connection and live learning. You can study flexibly from any device while joining our 600+ graduate Online Academy community.
What is the difference between training in India and Ireland?
The curriculum and certification remain consistent across locations.

Training in India offers an immersive cultural and traditional context, while training in Ireland provides a European-based residential format with the same academic rigour and teaching standards.

Both deliver the same educational depth and professional outcome.
Will someone help me arrange travel to India?
Yes. Our team provides guidance and support with travel planning, visa information, and arrival coordination to ensure a smooth transition into the training.
How safe is the centre and the surrounding area in Goa?
Our Goa centre is located in a safe, established area with experienced staff onsite. We prioritise student wellbeing and maintain clear safety protocols throughout the training.

India can feel new and different for many students, but you will be well-supported and guided throughout your stay.
What kind of support is available after graduation?
We offer ongoing mentorship, month-long internships, community groups, and monthly live business coaching with Eveanna. Our aim is to support your transition into teaching life, both professionally and personally.
What happens if I struggle physically or emotionally during the training?
Support is always available. Practices are adapted and faculty guide students with care, encouraging communication and self-responsibility.

Trainees should be prepared for an intensive experience, but you will not navigate it alone.
