Why Teachers Choose a 300-Hour Training?

For many teachers, a 200-hour provides a foundation, but not always the confidence, clarity, or depth needed to teach with real authority.

You may already be guiding classes, yet still second-guess sequencing, adjustments, student needs, or how to teach beyond what you were first shown. Over time, it becomes clear that experience alone does not always create depth. At a certain point, more practice, more understanding, and more direct guidance become essential.

This 300-hour training is designed for that next stage.

It offers the time, structure, and Level 2 progression needed to refine your teaching, deepen your own practice, and strengthen the professional path you are building, through sustained, close study with Yogacharya Lalit and a learning environment that prioritises depth over pace.

A Word From the Teacher Holding the Training

Led by Yogacharya Lalit, ālaya Wellbeing’s trainings are rooted in discipline and relational practice grounded in lineage, delivered for the modern world.

Everything You Need to Learn, Live & Practice

This training is not about collecting more techniques. It is about refining how you practise, how you observe, and how you teach. You arrive with experience, but the early days begin to recalibrate attention, deepen consistency, and sharpen the way you work.

Working in close guidance with Yogacharya Lalit, the process is both steady and exacting. Practice becomes more precise, sequencing more intelligent, and teaching more grounded. Philosophy moves beyond concept into lived understanding. You leave with greater clarity, steadiness, and a more mature relationship to yoga as both practice and responsibility.

You Will Study

This 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training follows Yoga Alliance RYS-300 standards and is rooted in Himalayan lineage, drawing from Yogacharya Lalit’s lived teaching and experience.

Advanced Hatha-Based Foundational Practice

A steady, accessible approach to asana that builds strength, structural integrity, and awareness. Practice is adapted to the individual, supporting progression relative to each student’s starting point.

Precision-Focused Asana (Iyengar-Informed)

Informed by Iyengar principles, this work refines precision, safe movement, and therapeutic application. The use of props and modifications allows postures to remain both intelligent and accessible across levels.

Progressive Vinyasa Methodology

Drawing from Ashtanga Vinyasa, sequencing is breath-led and fluid, integrating rhythm, clarity, and intentional progression without losing structural awareness.

Advanced Pranayama & Meditative Practices

Breathwork, meditation, and chanting are taught within the framework of Himalayan tradition. These practices extend beyond technique into subtle awareness, supporting regulation, concentration, and internal inquiry.

Deep Restorative, Yin and Yoga Nidra Practices

Complementary practices that emphasise stillness, recovery, and nervous system regulation. Trainees are introduced to slower, inward-oriented approaches that support a more therapeutic and holistic understanding of practice and teaching.

Core Areas of Study

The curriculum is designed to deepen perception, refine application, and support the continued evolution of both practice and teaching.

Asana Practice & Application

Asana is approached as a field of inquiry that refines both personal practice and teaching sensitivity.
Structured clinics that deepen understanding of posture beyond form
Exploring accessibility through intelligent use of alignment, variation, and props
Observing how asana influences physical, energetic, and therapeutic states
Developing adaptable sequencing across different styles and intentions
Teaching practice across both in-person and online settings

Alignment & Adjustments

The ability to see clearly and respond precisely is developed through careful observation and intervention.
Refining both verbal guidance and hands-on support
Recognising patterns such as instability, restriction, and compensation
Applying modifications that support safety without reducing depth
Balancing effort and ease within each posture
Establishing structural integrity that supports long-term practice

Sequencing & Specialized Practices

Sequencing becomes a deliberate and responsive process rather than a fixed structure.
Understanding progression, pacing, and energetic direction within a class
Adapting teaching to different bodies, contexts, and sensitivities

Guiding breathwork, meditation, rest-based practices, and internalised techniques
Designing and teaching classes with clear thematic intention

Recognising patterns of imbalance through the lens of doshas
Exploring the relationship between lifestyle, emotion, and physiology
Adapting practice to support internal equilibrium
Designing routines that respond to individual and seasonal needs
Integrating dietary and lifestyle awareness into daily living

Anatomy & Physiology

Functional understanding of movement, joints, and load-bearing patterns
Awareness of posture, compensation, and injury pathways
Developing coordination, control, and stability in practice
Exploring the role of breath in systemic regulation
Introducing the relationship between physical patterns and emotional holding

Study of classical texts as frameworks rather than doctrine
Exploration of mental patterning through yogic psychology
Reflection on behaviour, habit, and perception
Bringing philosophical understanding into daily life and teaching

The Subtle & Pranic Body

The subtle body is approached as an experiential dimension of practice that informs attention and awareness.
Exploring energetic pathways and organisational systems within the body
Developing sensitivity through breath, sound, and meditative practices
Understanding how attention directs and shapes experience
Applying energetic awareness within sequencing and teaching
Supporting vitality and mental steadiness through subtle practices

Establishing clear boundaries and responsibility toward students
Communicating with precision and empathy
Navigating group dynamics and varied student needs
Responding to challenges with steadiness rather than reactivity

Professional Practice & Entrepreneurship

The training extends into how teaching is sustained, communicated, and developed over time.
Clarifying your direction and the space you occupy as a teacher
Understanding how to communicate your work with coherence
Building visibility without compromising integrity
Engaging with digital tools in a considered and effective way
Creating structures that support longevity rather than burnout

The Rhythm of a Training Day

Days follow a balanced rhythm of practice, study, and reflection, allowing depth to develop with steadiness rather than excess. Each part of the day is structured to support continuity, with space for both focused learning and assimilation under consistent faculty guidance.

Don't wait, enrol today!!
Enrolling with Himalaya Yoga Valley was one of the best decisions I ever made! The course is so well thought-out and tutors are knowledgeable, encouraging and inspirational. The curriculum covers so much but is broken down into manageable lessons, which makes the online course so accessible to a busy, working mum, like myself...

Frequently Asked Questions

I've been teaching for several years and have attended many workshops. How is this different from continuing education I can piece together myself?
Workshops and standalone modules build knowledge horizontally, you accumulate more of what you already know. This training works differently. It brings you into a sustained, lineage-rooted environment where practice, philosophy, and teaching methodology are woven together over 29 days rather than across disconnected weekends. The continuity of daily practice, direct guidance, and shared immersion creates a depth that is difficult to replicate in fragments.
How does training with a Himalayan lineage teacher differ from a contemporary methodology-based programme?
Himalayan lineage carries an unbroken transmission of practice, where the relationship between teacher and student, the sequencing of study, and yoga as a complete system remain central. Yogacharya Lalit’s teaching is not built around a branded method or standardised style, but around disciplined practice and direct transmission. For many teachers, this offers a depth contemporary methodologies do not always reach.
My personal practice has become secondary to my teaching schedule. Will this training actually give me space to reclaim it?
Yes, that is one of the reasons the training is fully residential. When accommodation, meals, study, and daily life are all held in one environment, fragmentation falls away. Practice becomes central again rather than something fitted in around teaching and responsibility.
I already teach advanced students. Will there be enough challenge in the asana and pranayama curriculum for where I am now?
The curriculum is pitched at Level 2, which means postures, pranayama, and meditation practices that require an established foundation and greater body awareness. Depth at this level comes less from adding complexity, and more from precision, subtlety, and intelligent application.
How does the teaching practicum actually work, and how direct is the feedback?
Teaching practicums are supervised and include direct, structured feedback from faculty. You will teach, be observed, and receive precise input on cueing, pacing, class architecture, energetic quality, and safety. With a smaller cohort, feedback remains substantive and personal.
I’m concerned this training will feel repetitive given what I covered in my 200-hour. What genuinely goes further?
This curriculum is not a revisit of 200-hour material at a higher intensity. Philosophy moves into embodied inquiry, anatomy extends into functional and subtle dimensions, and teaching methodology becomes more refined and responsive. What goes further is both the depth of each subject and the way the pieces begin to integrate.
Is the lineage-based approach compatible with the multi-style teaching I already do?
Yes. Studying within lineage does not require you to abandon your existing teaching style. It gives you a steadier philosophical and practical foundation beneath it. Many teachers return to their own work with more clarity, not with a new style to perform.
What does mentorship and post-graduation support actually look like in practice?
Graduates enter a wider community of trained teachers with access to continued support, internship pathways, and ongoing professional development resources. The model is intentionally long-term, with many students joining through referral and remaining connected well beyond certification.
How does the integrated entrepreneurship immersion work, and is it actually useful for established teachers?
Yes. This component is designed for teachers who are already active but want more clarity, sustainability, and alignment in how they work. It supports positioning, communication, offer design, and long-term career thinking without reducing the work to hustle.
What makes Goa, and Arambol specifically, a considered choice for this kind of training rather than a more traditional ashram location?
The location offers the stillness necessary for sustained study without requiring unnecessary austerity. You are close to the sea and natural beauty, yet held in an environment that supports tranquility, simplicity, and focused immersion.
